ELMIA NATIONAL SHOW 2016 - SUCCESS FOR BÅRARP!
Buck was named the performance test best bull all breeds in 2015 because of his combination of high daily gain and linear score of 87. Now he has been named Supreme Champion Hereford (Best In Breed) and 2nd in the prestigious interbreed championship (by 1 point!)

Annika who also placed 3rd with Besk in the National Showmanship competition with 8 entries including a proffecional fitter and showman from Ireland.

7436 Bårarps Donna won her class from 3 entries, shown by our daughter Christel.
It was Christels 16th birthday the day we left for the show, and what better present could she have than winning the oldest devision in beef breed junior showmanship!
The judge was Jill Harvie, Patrik Gustavsson & Matilda Bengtsson
7420 Bårarps Miss Firefly ET & Miranda
In the largest class, with 7 entries placed 7420 Miss FireFly ET 2nd.
She is amazingly wide the length of her back, which unfortunatley you can't see on the photo.

Miranda won the National Showmanship competition for the 4th time in a row and the 2nd time showing one of our three Angus cows, 48 Friskatorpet Erinda.
Miranda almost didn't go in in the showmanship as Erinda wasn't co-operating as she had hoped the day before, and she thought there was no way she could win again anyway, especially not for a Canadian judge again.
Tears were flowing as she came out of the ring! Miranda said "This cow never lets me down, she is my black princess and when the time comes she will be buried at home"

Memphis linear scored EX 90 in Holland!
Bårarps Memphis who we recently sold to Marten Koiter in Holland was linear scored with EX 90! We congratulate Marten!

We wish to congratulate Nils-Åke Johannesson, Ingemanstorp Hereford to the purchase of Bårarps Pesto! The hammer fell at 85.000SEK (aprox £7,300) the 2nd highest proce of the day (a difference of only 2.000SEK)
Pesto had an average daily gain of 1844gr. Conformation score: Legs 84 muscles 83 body 82 total 84. He is Homozygote polled and Free for Hyporichosis. High value for marbling and scortal 35cm.
424 Bårarps Player T-102
We also sold 424 Bårarps Player T-102. He went under the hammer for 65.000SEK (aprox £5,573) the 4th highest proce of the day to Jan Nilsson, Gylteboda Hereford. Player had an average daily gain of 1545gr, conformation score: legs 88, muscles 85 body 85 total 87. He is homozygote polled and free from Hypotrichosis. High value for marbling and scotal 35cm. We also wish to congratulate Lennart Svensson, Hamra Hereford who sold 18 Hamras Dalton T-105 for 82.000SEK (just over £7,000). He is by Bårarps Memphis, 2 x Res champion and sold recently to Marten Koiter in Holland.

Pestos pedigree is all North American. His sire is full brother of Bårarps Jaguar who was the record all time high seller at the performance testing station. He was SIRE OF THE YEAR in 2013. The cow family is from the Saddle-Valley Donna line and sire of dam is en an AI sire, Venture Moler ET by BR Moler.
Pesto had an average daily gain of 1844gr BW 41kg WW 342kg YW 650kg. He is linear scored with total 84, scrotal, 35cm, is homozygote polled and free from Hypotrichosis. High score for marbling. His EPD is very allround - use him on heifers, and for growth and milk!

Success at MILA!
7395 Bårarps Genna was Best In Breed and 2nd Best In Show beef breed female!
She is by the champion Danish AI sire, Vokslev Eik and her dam, 7251 Bårarps Genna is her self a Best in Breed winner and has the same dam as Bårarps Johnny, sold to Denmark where he had an amazing career both in the show ring and as a sire, producing an AI bull, National Champion female and a champion bull sold to England.
